Green Self Storage

Green Self Storage is a new South African self-storage company with a bold goal: to revolutionise the self-storage industry in South Africa. Our first facility is opening soon in Blackheath, in a convenient and secure location in Saxenburg Park 1 across the Zevenwacht Mall — with more sites to follow.

We believe traditional self-storage facilities fail to meet the needs of many South Africans. Large brick-and-mortar facilities charge high rents, while garage-style units can attract dust and pests. We built Green Self Storage to offer something better. Our facilities use only brand-new, single-use containers. Most goods manufactured overseas travel for months across rough seas inside shipping containers — and arrive in pristine condition. That is the power of containerised self-storage. You will only ever find in your unit what you put there.

Green Self Storage was born during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and we proudly chose the Bafana Bafana green as our brand colour. We believe the self-storage industry can — and should — be greener, and we want to lead the way. Our facilities have a low carbon footprint, no permanent environmental impact, and are powered by solar energy. Our pricing is simple and transparent. No hidden costs, no surprises: • No administration fees • No deposit required • No minimum commitment • Free anti-theft lockbox and reinforced padlock included

We offer 24/7 drive-up access at rates that work — for small businesses needing flexible storage as they grow, and for families in smaller homes looking for a safe place for their belongings.

Our guiding principle is simple: leverage technology to deliver affordable, secure, and always-accessible drive-up self-storage.
